BMW India Unveils Fourth-Generation X3 at Auto Expo 2025

BMW India has officially introduced the all-new fourth-generation X3 at Auto Expo 2025. The luxury SUV is priced at ₹75.80 lakh for the xDrive20 petrol variant and ₹77.80 lakh for the xDrive20d diesel model. Bookings for the latest X3 begin today, with deliveries set to commence in April.

Performance & Powertrain

The new X3 comes with mild-hybrid petrol and diesel engine options, both featuring a 2.0-litre four-cylinder setup. Power is delivered through an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, distributing power to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The petrol-powered xDrive20 produces 190hp and 310Nm of torque, while the diesel xDrive20d delivers 197hp and 400Nm.

Compared to its predecessor, the fourth-gen X3 has grown in length to 4,755mm (+34mm) and width to 1,920mm (+29mm), while its height has been reduced by 25mm to 1,660mm. The wheelbase remains unchanged at 2,865mm.

BMW has infused the new X3 with its latest design philosophy, inspired by the Vision Neue Klasse X concept. The SUV features clean, sculpted surfaces with minimal lines and an imposing illuminated kidney grille. The grille sports a fresh diagonal and horizontal slat pattern, complemented by sleek new headlights with double LED accents. Unlike the outgoing model, the new X3 forgoes plastic body cladding, instead boasting muscular wheel arches and a fresh alloy wheel design for a rugged yet refined stance.

Premium Interior & Features

The cabin of the new X3 is loaded with cutting-edge technology. It features BMW’s signature curved display, housing a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 14.9-inch digital driver’s display, both running the latest iDrive 9 software from the current X1. The dashboard is wrapped in a newly designed meshed fabric, while heated Sports Seats and a flat-bottom steering wheel enhance the sporty feel.

Other premium features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, a reclining rear bench, and ventilated power-adjustable front seats. Parking assist and a host of advanced driver-assistance features further enhance the driving experience.

With its blend of advanced technology, refined design, and powerful performance, the fourth-generation X3 aims to set new benchmarks in the luxury SUV segment.
