iPhone X vs iPhone 8 vs iPhone 8 Plus; Worth Buying or Not?

Yesterday, Apple revealed its three brand new smartphones; iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus at an event in Cupertino, Calif. The most awaited phones have wireless charging and the advanced unlocking feature that uses facial recognition software. Apple is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its mobile devices with these advanced phones, featuring the radical redesign and newer technology. Let’s have a look at some of the exciting features of these 3 brand new smartphone:

iPhone X

iPhone X (10) will be shipped on Nov 3 and priced at $999 – the most expensive iPhone model ever. It has come up with the newer screen technology which is known as OLED, which is lighter, thinner, and brighter. The 5.8-inch OLED is claimed to have better color accuracy and contrast than its past models. With this launch, Apple has also ditched the physical home button which has been a signature feature of the iPhones. So now, it has an edge-to-edge display which takes up the entire face by eliminating the borders around the screen. The home button is replaced by the facial recognition software which is called Face ID. It will be used to unlock the phone, authenticate Apple Pay and customize the new animoji.

With the $999 model, Apple entered into a new and extended level of pricing. The iPhone X will cost $200 more than the iPhone 8 Plus and $300 more than the iPhone 8.  While this price is too expensive for most people, Apple claimed to define a new era of the smartphone with iPhone X. “The device will set the path for the next decade because Apple would likely come up with some of the iPhone X’s most striking features, including wireless battery charging, infrared facial recognition, and advanced camera effects.” – Timothy D. Cook, Apple’s chief executive.

The design language of iPhone 8 Plus is very similar to 7 Plus except for the glass back. The phone doesn’t have the headphone jack, but it doesn’t look thinner than 7 Plus. The new phone consists A11 Bionic chipset which runs 25% faster than the A10 in the iPhone 7 Plus. Though, Apple hasn’t revealed how much RAM will be used in the iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone 8 Plus will be available in two variants 64GB or 256GB storage. With the 5.5-inch display, The iPhone 8 consists dual 12MP rear camera with an aperture of f/1.8.
