MG Motors Unveils New 7-Seater Electric MPV: The Toyota Innova Challenger?

All New MG M9 is the perfect electric MPV to compete with legendary Toyota Innova

MG Motor India is the second largest electric vehicle seller in the country. With the huge success of the Windsor EV, now brand is on its way to launch new 7-seater MPV called MG M9 electric. This new electric MPV is a 7-seater luxury vehicle which comes with the aggressive design and a WLTP range of 430 kilometers. MG Motor is going to showcase this premium electric vehicle in the coming Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.

This new MG M9 will be the brands second premium electric vehicle announced after sports car Cyberster. both of these electric cars to be shown in the biggest automotive even in the country, The Bharat Mobility Expo. MG M9 will get all luxury features and a powerful 90kWh battery pack which can generate over 430 kilometers of range on a single charge. This luxury vehicle will get a spacious 7-seater cabin with luxury massaging seats on the mid-row.

After launching MG M9 will compete with the luxury segment Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire in the country. Both of these cars are impressive in terms of performance and comfort. This M9 was previously shown in India as Mifa 9 MPV but the official name for the country is now M9. We’re expecting this vehicle to launch at a starting price tag of Rs. 65 Lakhs ex-showroom which is a decent price tag for a luxury vehicle.

MG Motor’s new luxury vehicle M9 MPV gets a spacious 3-row, seven-seater cabin, replete with second-row reclining ottoman seats that offer 8 massage functions. M9 will have many other impressive luxury features like three-zone climate control, a separate touchscreen panel for the second row, seat ventilation, dual sunroofs, powered sliding rear doors, and rear entertainment display.

If you talk about the design, MG M9 gets a typical MPV-style boxy look, but there are many design details that give it its own personality like LED lights, chrome finishing, impressive alloy wheels, full-width LED light bar that houses the turn signals at each corner making it the luxurious vehicle in the price segment.

MG Motor India will firstly launch this vehicle in only 12 cities of the country only. The new luxury car will get 90kWh battery pack which can generates over 430 kilometers on a single charge. The performance units are not introduced yet but it is expected to get all details and official pricing of the electric vehicle in the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, starting on 17th January.
